Srbo Ivanovski (1928)
poet and prose writer. Education: graduated
from Sts. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje, Republic of Macedonia,
Faculty of Philosophy, Department of History of Yugoslav Literature and
Macedonian Language. Since 1952 has held various posts with Macedonian
Radio and TV in Skopje. Publications in Macedonian: Poetry:

poetry for children; Novels: Osameni (The Lonely Ones), 1979; Martin
Nunata, 1979; Leonida trcha okrvaven (Leonida Runs Bleeding), 1980;
Mesto megju zhivite (A Place Among the
Living Ones), 1990; Chekajkji na Andrea (While Waiting for Andrea), 1990;
Balada na ischeznatite (Ballad of the Disappeared), 1995; Short story collections:

1982. His poetry and prose have been translated into many languages and
included in a number of anthologies of Macedonian literature. A selection
of his poetry was published into Serbian (Zacharani putnik, 1976).
Awards: (domestic) – 13 Noemvri, Stale Popov; (abroad) –
Branko Miljkovikj (Serbia).
