Blagoja Ivanov (1931)
a short story writer and novelist.
He is a professor at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje. Short story
collections: Sedum umiranja (Seven Deaths) 1956; Nokj bez pochinka
(A Night without a Rest) 1958; Crveno rondo (Red Rondo) 1964;
Patuvanja (Travels – prose miniatures) 1967; Od onaa strana na
zaboravot (On the Other Side of Forgetfulness) 1975; Malata vrata na
nadezta (The Small Door of Hope) 1985, and Lichna karta (ID) 1988.
Novels: Vetrovi (Winds) 1969; Edna godina i cel zhivot (A Year and
a Whole Life) 1978; Blanka 1984; Maalska igra (Neighborhood Game)
1989; Chekanje na zorata (Waiting for the Dawn) 1998. Radio and TV
Plays: Tri sredbi na zaminuvanje (Three Meetings upon Leaving);
Essays: Soochuvanja (Facing) 1971. He has published the book
Sovremenata drama i teatarot vo Makedonija (The Modern Play and Theatre in
Macedonia) in 1982, in Serbo-Croatian. Awards: Racin Award, First
of May, Kocho Racin.
