Petre M. Andreevski (1934)

a poet, prose writer. Education: studied at the Faculty of Philosophy of Sts. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. Works in Macedonian TV. Publications in Macedonian include: Poetry: Jazli (Knots), 1960; I na nebo i na zemja (In the Sky and on the Earth), 1962; Denicia, 1968; Dalni nakovalni (Far Anvils), 1971; Pofalbi i poplaki (Praises and Complaints), 1977; Vechna kukja (Eternal House), 1987; Poetry for children: Sharam-baram (Hide-and-seek), 1982; Kasni porasni (Munch and Grow,) 1990; Novels: Pirej (The Weed), 1980; Skakulci (The Locusts), 1983; Nebeska Timjanova, 1989; Short story collections: Sedmiot den (The Seventh Day), 1964; Neverni godini (Years of Lost Fate), 1974; Site lica na smrtta (All Faces of Death), 1995; Plays: Drami (Plays), 1984. Many translations of his poetry and prose have been published in Macedonia and abroad (in Serbian, Croatian, French, Romanian, English, Spanish, Japanese, Albanian, Esperanto, and other languages). Represented in all anthologies of Macedonian poetry and prose. Translates from Serbian and Croatian. Awards: (domestic) – 11 Oktomvri, Brakja Miladinovci (twice), Racinovo priznanie (twice), Stale Popov (twice).
