Mitko Madzhunkov (1943)
a short story writer,
playwright, and novelist. Works and lives in Belgrade. He also writes in
Serbo-Croatian. Short story collections: Chudna sredba (Strange
Meeting) 1970; Ubi go zborlivoto kuche (Kill the Speaking Dog) 1973;
Meġata na svetot (The Border of the World) 1985; Paradoksalen son
(Paradoxical Dream) 1987. Novels: Nad tropskite oblaci (Above the
Tropical Clouds) 1974; Kula nad ridot (Tower Above the Hill) 1981;
Mirisot na zemjata (The Smell of Earth) 1984. Plays: Golemiot skok
(The Great Leap), Senkata (The Shadow) and Pusta zemja (Barren Land).
Awards: Racin Award.
